Instructions
Insert your CF into your computer
Create a top-level folder called DCOLYMP
Download the appropriate file and place it in the DCOLYMP folder
Remove the CF Card and place it into your camera (Make sure your Camera is OFF)
Make sure your batteries are fully charged
Whilst holding down the "OK" Button, turn your camera on
The screen will go black and the red back LED light will turn on
DO NOT TURN THE CAMERA OFF WHILE THE LED IS ON.
Wait until it red LED light starts blinking rapidly to indicate the process has completed.
You can now turn off the camera and restart it and the firmware should be upgraded.
You can also delete that DCOLYMP folder that you created as it's no longer needed.
CHECKSUM
To check the file integrety you can cross check the checksum. For windows this is how you do it
Open a CMD prompt window
Change into the directory you downloaded the files
Run the certutil command on the file name and cross check the MD5 or SHA256 with the ones supplied above
Example: certutil -hashfile E0129999.BIN MD5
Example: certutil -hashfile E0129999.BIN SHA256
